hi Pavel, thats a bloody nice car you have there!

What are your plans for events ?

Hope it goes well ;)

what diff are you using?

Hi,

There are a lot of small one/half a day rallysprint events in the near with only one stage and 3-4 round. I'd like to try the car there.

It's not a serious race car so I can't participate in the official rally championship.

Kinda like the stuff Balu did?

Author:  Pavel [ Mon Jul 16, 2007 7:05 pm ]
Post subject:

Yes, something like that but with longer and faster stages.
I think Balu prefered the snowy public roads :)

Post subject:

Yes, i think so too! have a few vids of him in the red car jus sidewats for ever!!!

Will you be putting camera incar for any of this?

have you rallyed before?

Author:  Pavel [ Mon Jul 16, 2007 10:36 pm ]
Post subject:

I haven't rallyed before. I had strong cars but without rollcage and LSD. I think this Lada will be a good car to learn.

Post subject:

Should be a nice car to "learn to drive" in

What box are you using then with the fiat motor?

Author:  Pavel [ Tue Jul 17, 2007 9:21 am ]
Post subject:

First I will use stock Lada box, later Lada dog gearbox maybe.

Thats really nice mate!

How much power do you think she will have then?

Author:  Pavel [ Mon Jul 23, 2007 8:50 am ]
Post subject:

This engine had 120 HP with fuel injection system, smaller valves and lower compression ratio. With the programmable ignition, the sport camshafts and the Weber carbs I hope it will be at least 150 HP.

Unfortunatelly I don't have proper intake manifold, I just modified a handmade intake from 40 to 45, but it doesn't fit to the channels of the cylinder head perfectly. I lose some power here

Author:  Avtovaz [ Mon Jul 23, 2007 11:40 pm ]
Post subject:

DO YOU STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL INJECTION SYSTEM?????????????????????????????????

if the ports from the manifold are smaller, and they dont overlap, dont worry too much about it!

hmm

do you have the original injection system as my suprised last post asks LOL!

I want to put a fiat tc in my carm but the rules for my rallying say that i have to put a twin cam engine on injection, carb is not alowed!

I really need this! ;)

thanks!

Author:  Pavel [ Tue Jul 24, 2007 6:23 am ]
Post subject:

Sure, I have the injection system yet, if the carbs don't work, I have to build the injection back.

the carbs will work :P

Do you jhave the wiring and the brain too?

DO you want to sell me the injection system?

I have a friend who will colect it from you in a few weeks and pay cash!

:P

Author:  Pavel [ Tue Jul 24, 2007 7:09 pm ]
Post subject:

I don't have wires but I have the control unit and a wiring diagramm.

Sorry but I don't want to sell it at the moment.
But later when I see that the engine is OK and I don't need anything from the injection system, we can talk about the business :)

By the way the system is in a good shape, I replaced the fuel pressure regulator, cleaned the injector units, bought a brand new high pressure fuel pump, etc...

And I have a tuned spare 2.0 TC engine too, but it must be renewed :)

How did you managed to do this? Any soldering job etc?
Cuz i'm planning to install one in my lada, but the problem is that regulations allow any type of radiator, but you can't change the fastenings, so i have to create some sort of adapter to install the it..

BTW did any of heard of heavy duty lada cam bearings, maybe ceramic coated?

Author:  Pavel [ Mon Jul 30, 2007 8:50 pm ]
Post subject:

I don't know what do you mean...
As you see the fender panels must be cutted, and you have to make new fastenings too.
(by the way that's not my car, I haven't installed the radiator yet)

I have never had any problem with the bearings, I'm using usually Federal Mogul products.
