Not really 1000000000 times, because in lot of Fiat engined Ladas there is injection system, one carb or two down draft carbs. Two side draft carbs is more seldom, but not an impossible task. There are professional solutions for removing the brake cylinder but I want to solve it cheaper :)

cant you do something like i did on my car? adjustabe bias but uses very short cylinders!



If you goto avto.co.uk and check out pics of my lada you will see how i did it....



bias bar was about £15, cylinders £40 ea, but you dont have to use ap motorsport type ones.

I dont know the sizes but maybe lada clutch ones could be used, i had 2 of 0.625" on my car.


i had 0.75 but i had no brakes then LOL!



If you decide to go this way, i can post you the balance bar if you want! Ill be buying one shortly for myself


You can use the Lada pedal ;)

It makes a big difference to the brakes also, its hard to describe unless you have driven the car with and with out.

I can't find your pics.

I've found wilwood cylinders for £29 and balance bar for £23. So do you say I can attach this bar to the stock Lada pedal?

hi mate

yep, you put a notch in the pedal where the original piviot point was, weld teh tube on, make sure you weld it on good but not to that it destorts the tube as i did then the ball wont screw over properly LOL!

then i made a plate for the bulkhead to cover the factory servo hole, then made the pedal box with the cylinders on it, then made the plate fit the pedal box, then fitted the pedal box, then welded the plate on!

Only thing you need to do is space the cyliders off the bulkhead by 10mm or so as if you dont you wont get the full pedal travel.


Its really simple, and it makes the braking system much better.

Hi,

Thanks for the pics.
Well, it could be that these cylinders are still too big. The ideal solution would be if I could move the cylinders to the interior fitted directly to the pedal.
First I have to install the engine and after that I will see how much space I have.

they dont stick out much more than a fuse box does!


If not, and you want to put them inside, there is aquite a bit of work to do!

Although, it will be worth it!
